Got stir-crazy staying home so I headed out of the house to check out Vegas in the Time of Coronavirus.
Small wedding at the Flamingo and the couple paid a little extra to have an outside photographer (me!) capture the event. We got a lot in in two hours! I was impressed with the Flamingo Wedding Chapel, lots of cool backgrounds on the property. It's also close proximity to some Strip hotel exteriors that are fun to shoot at.
Shot another Bellagio fountain proposal, I’ve been getting more and more lately! This shoot was special because Brian wanted the proposal to be a surprise. I asked Bailee later if she knew and she had no idea she would engaged and on her engagement photo shoot the same day!
I adore these shots we got! Congrats to Bailee & Brian! book.lastminphoto.com Fun to start the year off with a Bellagio Fountain proposal! Timing is everything... the huge cannon shot from the fountain went off at the same time as the Big Question. She said yes!
A young family was in town for the annual Marine Ball and since everyone was going to be in their Sunday Best, they figured they’d squeeze a last minute photo shoot on their way to the gala. The shoot happened after the sun went down so this was an opportunity to work with flash and Vegas’ famous ambient light. We got over 100 edited shots out of our time together! Here are a few of my favorites...
This place has so many options to choose from and every time I come I find new, creative settings to shoot at. Caesars Palace and the Bellagio Fountain combo is my favorite last minute photo shoot route. Check availability by texting your proposed shoot date to 702-767-9248.
I always love shooting at this place because it always looks different! You never know what the lighting will be doing but it ALWAYS looks incredible. Who’s next?
Union Pacific's antique steam engine Big Boy #4014 came through Vegas and stay overnight to refuel at a train station near Fremont Street. The public was invited to see the train chugging in for the stop and help Union Pacific celebrate 150 years of the transcontinental railroad.
Judi and Andi celebrated a birthday with a photo shoot on the strip! I always love shooting at the Venetian, the lighting is different every time and so the textures are forever changing. You can get a lot of options of backgrounds and design elements in one location!
Denise and Tommy celebrated their 20th anniversary in Vegas and hired me to shoot a quick, last minute photo shoot on the Strip. We kept moving quick, shooting all along the way. We were able to squeeze about 8-10 different backdrops into a span of about 30 minutes! Thanks for the awesome shoot, you two were fun!
I took this shot at the top of the escalators on the northwest corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Flamingo. The key to the shot is my 14mm wide angle lens that really opens up the photo to include almost 180° Of the view. Of course we took many different versions of this photo but I love the one that shows the full body. The way the groom holds his new wife flatters her figure and connects the both of them.
Who’s ready for the next photo shoot? Since the Golden Nugget (and most Vegas chapels) do not provide photography coverage before and after the wedding, Dani hired me to shoot the getting ready and couples photoshoot before and after the wedding. We got some awesome shots! I love the Downtown Vegas vibe I captured in these photos.
One surprise for me shooting in this area is the incredible lighting inside Neonopolis mall area. The shot of Chase kissing Dani’s hand was shot five feet from the Toy Shack!
These are some of my favorite photos I’ve taken at a party! Brad’s lucky because his birthday falls on the same day at St. Patrick’s Day so he has an instant party built-in to his birthday! His party was in full swing when I was snapping away... I love taking photos at parties because after a few cocktails everyone is ready for some dramatic posing. Happy birthday, Brad! 🎊🎉🎁🎂♥️🍀🍀🍀
There was another snow shower (!) Thursday night so I grabbed my camera and shot this at sunrise the next morning. This is the last time this year this will happen and it will probably be another decade before it happens again. But wow, what a week!
Quick photo tour of Red Rock Canyon after a cold snowy night. Most of the snow was gone by the time I started shooting, but you can see dustings of it the distance. I can’t believe we live so close to this place, it was gorgeous! Next time I’d like to bring some hiking boots and see where that trail will lead me. I hear we might get more snow on Thursday, so if that’s the case I’m planning on getting up early to see the sunrise! 🌞
