I took this shot at the top of the escalators on the northwest corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Flamingo. The key to the shot is my 14mm wide angle lens that really opens up the photo to include almost 180° Of the view. Of course we took many different versions of this photo but I love the one that shows the full body. The way the groom holds his new wife flatters her figure and connects the both of them.
Who’s ready for the next photo shoot? Every so often it’s important to take a look at the world from somebody else’s perspective.
I saw this shot when someone set Nolan down for a moment. I’m always looking for a natural frame to spotlight my subject and I couldn’t resist framing Nolan among family member legs. I love this shot! Ashley just graduated from high school and celebrated with friends and family at her home last week. During the festivities, Ashley, her boyfriend, and I snuck away to snap a few photos at a nearby park. They came out great!
Her friends and family are all so proud of her accomplishments and her plans for what’s next: Ashley will study nursing in the fall. Congrats, Ashley! Since the Golden Nugget (and most Vegas chapels) do not provide photography coverage before and after the wedding, Dani hired me to shoot the getting ready and couples photoshoot before and after the wedding. We got some awesome shots! I love the Downtown Vegas vibe I captured in these photos.
One surprise for me shooting in this area is the incredible lighting inside Neonopolis mall area. The shot of Chase kissing Dani’s hand was shot five feet from the Toy Shack! I’ve been traveling around Colorado the last week and, of course, snapping pics along the way. I love shooting an event at a new location and trying to tell the story of the event in a creative way through my images. This is my favorite type of photography!
These pictures were taken at the Royal Gorge Bridge outside of Cañon City, Colorado. The bridge was once the tallest suspension bridges in the world but I think it’s the most awe-inspiring! The view of the gorge and the surrounding Rocky Mountains was pretty cool. I’ve got to get back at sunset or snow and shoot this agical place again! Chris |
