Shot another Bellagio fountain proposal, I’ve been getting more and more lately! This shoot was special because Brian wanted the proposal to be a surprise. I asked Bailee later if she knew and she had no idea she would engaged and on her engagement photo shoot the same day!
I adore these shots we got! Congrats to Bailee & Brian! book.lastminphoto.com Michele and Harry were in town celebrating their anniversary and wanted to capture some photos on the Strip. Michele wanted an early start so we met up at 7:30 AM at the New York, New York Hotel and Casino. I discovered that I love shooting on the Strip that early!
The rising sun gave us some beautifully diffuse light as the sun rays reflected off surfaces and dramatic shadows as it came in through the trees. The best part is that we pretty much had all access to any backdrop in the area, including the Park walkway to the T-Mobile Arena. Lots of fun little areas and textures to play with in the area. I loved the purple flowers near the California Pizza Kitchen! You two were awesome models! Denise and Tommy celebrated their 20th anniversary in Vegas and hired me to shoot a quick, last minute photo shoot on the Strip. We kept moving quick, shooting all along the way. We were able to squeeze about 8-10 different backdrops into a span of about 30 minutes! Thanks for the awesome shoot, you two were fun!
I took this shot at the top of the escalators on the northwest corner of Las Vegas Blvd and Flamingo. The key to the shot is my 14mm wide angle lens that really opens up the photo to include almost 180° Of the view. Of course we took many different versions of this photo but I love the one that shows the full body. The way the groom holds his new wife flatters her figure and connects the both of them.
Who’s ready for the next photo shoot? Jenny and Jay held a small wedding with close friends and family. The bare pecan tree branches and the little lake and shed provided an interesting background for our bride and groom. Jenny calls the the picture of Jay holding her in front of the lake “To Have and to Hold.” The small wedding went off without a hitch, even though they both got hitched! Congratulations!
Andre and Mary are from Philadelphia and traveled out to Vegas for their wedding. We shot a few snaps at Circus Curcus and I fell in love with the hotel’s outdoor lighting! The marquee and its lights are vintage Vegas. We followed it up the next day with a shoot around Bellagio and Caesars. Very fun shoot, I loved getting to know the couple and trying to translate their relationship into still images. Congrats on the wedding!
Nice couple from Texas in town celebrating their 10th anniversary. It was Louis’s first time in Vegas, and he and his wife did it right staying at the gorgeous Bellagio. We started the shoot in their garden adjacent to the south valet area, just outside from the Chihuly glass lobby. We made our way down for one of the tallest fountain shows I’ve ever seen and headed over to Caesar’s Palace for a change of scenery. Fun shoot!
Altair & Dion are a sweet couple obviously in love with each other. They were in town for a wedding and wanted to take a few photos at the Venetian looking great in their finest duds.
The Venetian remains one of my favorite places to shoot in Las Vegas because of all of the different areas to shoot. There are gorgeous fountains, azure pools, perfect archways, and dramatic architecture to elevate any photo. Can’t wait for my next shoot at the Venetian? Who’s next?! The couple was a hoot to shoot and were naturals with their poses! My favorite shot was captured when Cody hopped into on Brianna’s back! Discovery Park is one of my favorite places to shoot! Steven and I coordinated on time and specific location in front of the Bellagio fountains beforehand. The plan was for me to anonymously shoot the couple in front of the fountains then shoot Steven getting down on one knee and proposing.
The couple is from California and I hadn’t met either yet so I was going off of general descriptions. I was hanging out pretending to be a tourist when I saw them coming my way! The proposal went well and (spoiler alert!) she said YES! We shot for a little longer for their announcement and they were off to Prime Steakhouse to celebrate! Congrats to the couple!
