Took my camera with me on a walk at a park in Mountains Edge. The flowers are blooming and the bees are out and about doing their bee thing!
Got stir-crazy staying home so I headed out of the house to check out Vegas in the Time of Coronavirus.
Small wedding at the Flamingo and the couple paid a little extra to have an outside photographer (me!) capture the event. We got a lot in in two hours! I was impressed with the Flamingo Wedding Chapel, lots of cool backgrounds on the property. It's also close proximity to some Strip hotel exteriors that are fun to shoot at.
This wedding was fun... We met up at the Bellagio Fountains and performed a low key wedding. Super cool couple, and we got some awesome nightime Vegas shots.
Shot another Bellagio fountain proposal, I’ve been getting more and more lately! This shoot was special because Brian wanted the proposal to be a surprise. I asked Bailee later if she knew and she had no idea she would engaged and on her engagement photo shoot the same day!
I adore these shots we got! Congrats to Bailee & Brian!
Fun to start the year off with a Bellagio Fountain proposal! Timing is everything... the huge cannon shot from the fountain went off at the same time as the Big Question. She said yes!
I love the drive along I-70 through Glenwood Canyon! The elevated road winds through a mountainous canyon carved by the nascent Colorado River on it’s journey down. There is a nice rest area we stopped at to let the dog out to stretch. Brad and I are now back in Vegas, getting ready for New Years!
I loved this wedding because of how intimate it was! The event took place at a small church with a small group of close friends and family. The bride was gorgeous, the groom was nervous, and everything went without a hitch, which is to say, they got hitched! Congrats to the newlyweds!
We made some old fashioned peanut brittle to give as gifts and I took pictures of the process with my 85mm f1.2 Nikon portrait lens and I am in love with the silky bokeh I got! Oh, and the peanut brittle was pretty good, too!
Looking forward to the holiday season!
PS: don’t you ❤️ this pic of my husband, Brad?! Looking good!
A young family was in town for the annual Marine Ball and since everyone was going to be in their Sunday Best, they figured they’d squeeze a last minute photo shoot on their way to the gala. The shoot happened after the sun went down so this was an opportunity to work with flash and Vegas’ famous ambient light. We got over 100 edited shots out of our time together! Here are a few of my favorites...
First time shooting in the wetlands in Henderson and I was blown away by the diversity of locations in the park. There’s something for everyone’s taste. I love the reeds because they look like corn stalks that have yet to be harvested. They’re perfect to replicate the look of an autumn farm, but in the Vegas Valley. Ready for your shoot?
I want to start featuring more of my personal photography in this space so I’ll start with my trip to Nellis AFB for their semi-annual Aviation Nation airshow. The event happens in November and it’s a good time to bring out the telephoto lens to get up close and personal with the pilots. I can get so close that on the high resolution version of the fighter jet shot below you can see the pilot’s entire name painted onto the fuselage. I love this event, support it when you are in town over Veteran’s Day weekend.
Fun reception at a new banquet facility called Royal Crystal Event Center. The room looks cool with dark ceilings and embellished chandeliers dripping crystals from above. The bride and groom were married earlier in the day at Nelson, NV and needed coverage at their reception. Last minute photo shoot at Lone Mountain Regional Park off of 215 near Lone Mountain. I was blown away by how great this park is for photo shoots. Interesting desert landscape and large, wide-open grass fields make for a lovely backdrop. I noticed that, had we more time, we could've gotten closer to Lone Mountain and had a completely different desert look to the shots. I will be back!
Always fun to shoot homecoming shots! I fell in love with this shooting location in the Southwest... I've since poked around the park a little more and there are so many places to uses as a photographic backdrop ranging from green grass and park settings to gloriously stark desert a few steps away. Looking forward to the next shoot at Mountains Edge Regional Park.
This place has so many options to choose from and every time I come I find new, creative settings to shoot at. Caesars Palace and the Bellagio Fountain combo is my favorite last minute photo shoot route. Check availability by texting your proposed shoot date to 702-767-9248.
See it here first!
