These are some of my favorite photos I’ve taken at a party! Brad’s lucky because his birthday falls on the same day at St. Patrick’s Day so he has an instant party built-in to his birthday! His party was in full swing when I was snapping away... I love taking photos at parties because after a few cocktails everyone is ready for some dramatic posing. Happy birthday, Brad! 🎊🎉🎁🎂♥️🍀🍀🍀
Endless options shooting on the Strip! My favorite shot is the group shot with the Eiffel Tower. If you look closely you can see a full moon just to the right of the tower. We were able to get a rare shot inside the Cosmopolitan in front of the periwinkle Swarovski crystals that make up the crystal strands of the Chandelier Bar. Thanks for the fun shoot!
There was another snow shower (!) Thursday night so I grabbed my camera and shot this at sunrise the next morning. This is the last time this year this will happen and it will probably be another decade before it happens again. But wow, what a week!
Quick photo tour of Red Rock Canyon after a cold snowy night. Most of the snow was gone by the time I started shooting, but you can see dustings of it the distance. I can’t believe we live so close to this place, it was gorgeous! Next time I’d like to bring some hiking boots and see where that trail will lead me. I hear we might get more snow on Thursday, so if that’s the case I’m planning on getting up early to see the sunrise! 🌞
Back at the Arts District for another shoot! The theme was Vans so everyone wore Vans apparel and shoes. I love that shot of the kids’ feet in a circle... was was kismet that the colors of their shoes matched the color of the graffiti on the sidewalk!
I was out here a couple weeks ago and I noticed on my second trip that the artwork downtown is very fluid. There were murals in this area that had since been covered up with new artwork. I love how this area provides an ever-evolving backdrop for our shoot! Julia wanted to shoot her senior portraits in the Arts District. We started out at the Arts Factory then proceeded on a little photo tour of the area. One of the highlights we found was an awesome mural of the words “Las Vegas” that made for a one-of-a-kind backdrop. In fact, the background is so unique that, when I was in the area a few days later, it had been tagged over already by another artist. Loved this urban shoot, thanks Julia for being such a cool model! Congrats on your upcoming graduation!
Had a blast with a really fun newlywed couple exploring the Vegas Strip at night. The Bellagio fountains and our city of lights provided an electric background for our shoot. I love bringing my 14mm wide angle lense for the shot from the top of the escalators outside of Caesars Palace. The lense came in handy at the Bellagio valet area, too! Who’s ready for the next strip shoot? Text me at (702) 767-9248 to get started!
Jenny and Jay held a small wedding with close friends and family. The bare pecan tree branches and the little lake and shed provided an interesting background for our bride and groom. Jenny calls the the picture of Jay holding her in front of the lake “To Have and to Hold.” The small wedding went off without a hitch, even though they both got hitched! Congratulations!
Andre and Mary are from Philadelphia and traveled out to Vegas for their wedding. We shot a few snaps at Circus Curcus and I fell in love with the hotel’s outdoor lighting! The marquee and its lights are vintage Vegas. We followed it up the next day with a shoot around Bellagio and Caesars. Very fun shoot, I loved getting to know the couple and trying to translate their relationship into still images. Congrats on the wedding!
Lots of fun shooting the girls on the ranch! We turned a simple wooden fence into our own studio... you wouldn’t even know there were a couple longhorn steer a few feet away, although we shot a few pics with them in the background, too. The camera loves you ladies!
The leaves have nearly all fallen off the trees at Floyd Lamb Park, but to me this just makes it prettier! I love a stark winter photo!
The camera loves this family! Every frame seemed to be better than the last. I love shooting a sunset at the lake in Floyd Lamb and my portable lighting makes the family pop out of the background. The “totem pole” shot above with the twilight sky in the background was one of my favorite shots from the shoot. Randlomy Santa Claus was in the park and they did not have a photographer! This opened the rare opportunity to take professional Santa photos for the family, and we took some good ones! I love the rich lighting and the look of the Santa in the image in the collage. Every time I shoot at this park, there is some new surprise that makes the photoshoot that much more interesting. It’s a hoot shooting at the Bellagio and the lighting was incredible today on the strip! The walkway in front of the Bellagio fountains was pretty busy but we were able to shoot in between the crowds to make it seem relatively private. I’m also a fan of all the photographic options the little park near the south valet provides for family photography. I was standing in the taxi line for the photo in the upper left corner!
This family’s baby was highly photogenic! He was more than happy to pose and smile for the camera. One of my favorite pictures I took was the dad holding the baby up with the Bellagio in the background. The golden hour sunlight was soft and pink. Very pretty! Kristin’s family was in town and wanted a few shots she could use for Christmas cards. She chose Floyd Lamb Park in the northwest valley for her backdrop. Many of the leaves had fallen creating a velvety bed of yellow paint strokes on the ground. The clouds were doing lovely things with the lighting, making foregrounds pop in some and backgrounds pop in others. I brought out my strobe when the sun was just setting to shoot a few colorful sunset shots. Love shooting here!
Nice couple from Texas in town celebrating their 10th anniversary. It was Louis’s first time in Vegas, and he and his wife did it right staying at the gorgeous Bellagio. We started the shoot in their garden adjacent to the south valet area, just outside from the Chihuly glass lobby. We made our way down for one of the tallest fountain shows I’ve ever seen and headed over to Caesar’s Palace for a change of scenery. Fun shoot!
This family was a lot of fun to shoot and Floyd Lamb Park is a dream photo shoot location. The park is not like anywhere else in Las Vegas and the variety of shooting spots within the park seem to be endless!
We we shot during the best time of year, too, because the yellow, orange, and red autumn leaves provided visual interest in the background. Can’t wait for my next shoot at Floyd Lamb Park! We walked and shot all over the UNLV campus to create images for Kim’s graduation announcements. We shot during the golden hour of shooting, that hour before the sun goes down, to ensure the best lighting. I was surprised at how awesome of a backdrop UNLV provided for our photo shoot! It would be fun to shoot a family or engagement session on campus, especially on a quiet weekend. Chris PS: Ready for your next photoshoot? They were in town for a wedding and wanted to take a few photos at the Venetian looking great in their finest duds.
The Venetian remains one of my favorite places to shoot in Las Vegas because of all of the different areas to shoot. There are gorgeous fountains, azure pools, perfect archways, and dramatic architecture to elevate any photo. Can’t wait for my next shoot at the Venetian? Who’s next?! The couple was a hoot to shoot and were naturals with their poses! My favorite shot was captured when Cody hopped into on Brianna’s back! Discovery Park is one of my favorite places to shoot!
